About Meadows

Meadows Elementary School

Meadows History

Meadows Elementary opened it's door in the fall of the 1972-73 school year. Mr. Donald Tuch was the building's first principal and the schools enrollment was 300 students. Meadows was the last and seventh elementary built in Ralston. In 1984, Maywood School closed in downtown Ralston leaving six elementary schools in Ralston. In 1972, a daily lunch cost $ .35 or $3.00 for a 10-day meal ticket.

M.P.T.O.

Meadows Parent Teacher Organization was formed in 1972 and to this day remains a strong link between home and school. The organization does fund raising to help provide equipment, supplies and programs for the children, staff and parents of Meadows Elementary.
